The EOS R100 features a 24.1 megapixel APS-C sensor, which is several times larger than that found in high-end smartphones, so image quality is correspondingly better. Thanks to the large sensor, colours and details are reproduced accurately, even in low light. The camera can also shoot in a way that brings out the natural beauty of the main subject against a soft background (bokeh).
The EOS R100 features the Intelligent Auto Focus familiar from the EOS R system. The Dual Pixel CMOS system quickly and accurately identifies the subject and even tracks the eyes of the subject, whether using the viewfinder or the LCD monitor. This means the camera is always with you where the action is and focuses on what matters most. With single exposure, the EOS R100 can shoot at 6.5 frames per second. With continuous autofocus, the shooting speed is 3.5 frames per second.
Easy to use, the EOS R100 offers better video quality (4K/25p) than smartphones or many mirrorless SLRs, plus the benefits of the EOS R system. The camera can shoot Full HD video at 60 frames per second and 720p video at 120 frames per second, making it suitable for shooting slow-motion video and helping to add creativity to holiday videos, for example. Reliable Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus supports face detection and eye tracking, even when shooting at Full HD resolution.

It's easy to get a comfortable grip, with an electronic viewfinder, intuitive controls and a guided user interface for easy operation. Creative Assist mode also helps by making it easy to adjust background blur, brightness, contrast and colour balance.
A range of accessories are available, including innovative RF lenses, microphones and Speedlite flash units, offering further opportunities to express your creativity. Compatible with Canonin RF and RF-S lenses, the camera can also be used to capture distant subjects or realise creativity at wide apertures.
Seamless connectivity and content sharing
With Wi-Fi support and always-on Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, images and videos can be seamlessly transferred from the camera to your smartphone using the Canon Camera Connect app. The app also allows the camera to be used remotely and the Bluetooth connection makes it easy to control the camera with a remote control (BR-E1) or smartphone - perfect for shooting group photos and videos, for example.
The kit comes with an 18-45mm IS STM lens with image stabilisation for a wide range of situations, so you can start shooting straight away. Canonin RF bayonet is available with a wide range of lenses, and an optional adapter gives you a truly comprehensive range of Canon EF lenses.
