SSD
A hard disk SSD is fast, quiet and less sensitive
SSD stands for Solid-State Drive and is a type of storage memory for computers. A hard disk SSD performs the same function as a regular hard disk drive but is designed without the same type of moving parts (hence the name). This makes them less susceptible to mechanical shocks while operating both faster and quieter.Other common names are flash drive, solid-state disk, and solid-state drive, but most often SSD disk or SSD hard drive is used.
There are pretty much only advantages to having an SSD disk instead of a regular hard drive, no matter what you use your computer for. As mentioned, they are significantly faster, quieter, less sensitive and take up less space. To get the same storage space as your regular hard drive, you may have to spend a few extra dollars, but it's definitely worth it. By installing the computer's operating system on the SSD disk, you can, for example, speed up the entire computer (start / shutdown, opening folders, settings, etc.).
We also have external hard disk SSD - these stand-alone disks have really fast speeds compared to regular / traditional ones.
