With a voltage converter, you can use your standard 230V appliances in places where you have access to 12V, such as in your car, caravan, or maybe your boat. Different voltage converters have different maximum power ratings, so make sure you buy one that suits your needs. We also talk about pure and modified sine wave. As a rule of thumb, simple electronics such as lamps and tools tend to work with modified sine waves. Advanced electronics and devices with switched power supplies often require a pure sine wave.
