Accurate IR sensor with low probability of measurement error
The infrared sensor reads the temperature 8,000 times per second and therefore has a very low risk of mismeasurement. If you want to double-check the temperature, you don't need to worry about having the previous measurement in your head as the thermometer can store the last 32 measurements in its internal memory.
