On April 9, 1940, Denmark was attacked by Nazi Germany with demands for immediate and unconditional capitulation. The government surrenders after a few hours and then begins cooperation with the Nazis. But on the other side of the Atlantic sits Denmark's ambassador to America, the daredevil and world man Henrik Kauffmann, who is willing to put everything on one board. He refuses to comply with German demands and instead launches a rebellious plan to defeat Hitler and give the Danish people back their freedom.
