Lt. Theo Kojak is a bold and streetwise policeman with a dry sense of humor and a penchant for untraditional suits and cute lollipops. To ensure that justice is done most fully in Manhattan's 13th precinct, to which he belongs, Kojak does not stay too good at challenging the literal interpretation of the law if it can help crack a case and put the culprit behind bars. In close collaboration with Kojak, the plainclothes detective Bobby Crocker is the closest Kojak ever comes to a regular partner.
