This HDMI to VGA adapter allows you to connect an HDMI output from your laptop, ultrabook, or desktop computer onto a VGA monitor or projector, saving the cost of upgrading to an HDMI compatible display. Intended for outputting user generated content such as presentations, and work documents, the HDMI to VGA adapter can also work to increase your productivity by extending your computer's desktop onto a secondary monitor, doubling available workspace.

This adapter contains a chipset that enables the conversion from HDMI (digital) to VGA (analog), and also adds the audio stream to the HDMI signal.

This chip requires power, which is fully supplied with this converter via the USB Micro connection. Connect an optional USB Micro - USB cable to a free USB port on your PC or notebook, or if you no longer have any free ports, to a USB charger.

At the backside of the adapter is an additional 3.5 mm output. If you want also to transfer sounds, you will need to connect an audio cable to the 3.5 mm jack output. For this purpose, the television screen must also have a speaker set.
