Aqara Camera Hub G3 surveillance camera and home automation controller. Camera Hub G3 combines an indoor surveillance camera and a home automation controller. Up to 128* AqaraZigbee devices can be connected to the controller and at the same time the device acts as a surveillance camera. The camera connects to a wireless Wi-Fi network (2.4/5 GHz).
The camera has an excellent 2K resolution of 2304 x 1296 with a 110° wide field of view. The camera body is also motorised, so the direction of the image can be reversed directly from the app or automated to follow a specific path. This means that a single camera can be used to monitor a larger area if required. By default, the camera records to a microSD memory card (max. 128 GB), which can be purchased separately, and also supports two-way audio. The Camera Hub G3 is also equipped with AI capabilities. Thanks to the powerful NPU sensor inside the camera, the camera is able to separately recognise people/ faces taught to the camera, certain hand gestures taught to the camera and also pets. This means that you can teach the camera the faces of your family members and the camera will be able to send notifications based on the recognised faces ("Pekka arrived home!", "Unknown person detected").
The camera can also be used in dim/dark conditions thanks to IR light. In addition, the camera supports Apple's HomeKit Secure Video. HomeKit Secure Video provides end-to-end encrypted video and security. For this to work, you must have at least 50GB of Apple iCloud storage, an Apple TV, iPad or HomePod speaker as a home station, and a compatible iOS device (iPhone, iPad). The camera also includes full Apple HomeKit support. So you can connect compatible Aqara Zigbee accessories to the Hub and the Hub will make your devices HomeKit compatible. You can use it directly through Apple's own Home app and you can also make rules and automations with other devices connected to HomeKit. In addition to Apple HomeKit, the camera supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant virtual assistants
You can create rules and automations between additional devices added to the G3 hub Aqara. Camera Hub G3 will immediately send a notification if something happens. You can also see the event on the camera timeline (e.g. motion sensor detected motion).
Works with the Aqara application. Does not work as an Apple HomeKit home hub.
*If more than 32 Zigbee devices are added to the hub, Zigbee MESH devices, such as sockets, must be in place to extend the range of the Zigbee network.
