Aqara The Hub M1S Gen 2 home automation controller provides an easy and affordable way to get started with home automation devices. Aqara Hub M1S Gen 2 is compatible with Aqara's accessories that work with Zigbee or WiFi technology. M1S connects devices into one big package and Hub also makes accessories HomeKit compatible!
M1S Gen 2 supports Zigbee 3.0 technology and up to 128* different Zigbee-enabled Aqara accessories can be paired with the Hub. In addition, the new version features 2x2 MIMO dual antenna technology for improved wireless network coverage. The hub also features a light sensor/illumination sensor, which can be exploited for automation via an application.
The hub connects to an existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi wireless network and is controlled via the Aqara Home mobile app, available for download for Android and iOS devices. The controller itself also offers a number of standalone functions, including a night light that can also be operated from the store.
Aqara Hub M1S Gen 2 includes full Apple HomeKit support. So you can connect compatible Aqara Zigbee accessories to the Hub and the Hub will make your devices HomeKit compatible. You can access it directly through Apple's own Home app and you can also make rules and automations with other HomeKit connected devices. "Hey Siri, what's the temperature in the nursery?"
Works with the Aqara app (no support for the Mi Home app). Does not work as an Apple HomeKit home hub.
*If more than Zigbee 32 devices are added to the hub, Zigbee MESH devices, such as sockets, must be in use to extend the range of the Zigbee network.
