Withings Scanwatch Horizon is designed on the basis of a dive watch. The very stylish and finished ensemble is constructed from a stainless steel frame with a threaded bezel embedded in the middle of the display, which features a sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating to protect against bumps and scratches. The hands and markings on the analogue watch face are luminescent, making it easy to read the time even in low light or dark conditions.
The heart rate sensor monitors your heart rate around the clock by activating at regular intervals, allowing up to 30 days of battery life. When in training mode, heart rate is measured continuously. Scanwatch Horizon monitors the wearer's heart rate for arrhythmia (AFib) and prompts an ECG measurement if necessary. The measurement takes about 30 seconds and is performed by placing two fingers on the edge of the watch face where the sensors are located.
The ECG results are automatically transferred to the Withings HealthMate app, where they can also be easily printed out for review by a doctor, for example. The ScanWatch also has a SpO2 sensor to monitor blood oxygen levels, which can help identify signs of sleep apnea, among other things.
Withings ScanWatch also allows you to use your phone's GPS for jogging, for example, and includes automatically activated training modes for walking, running, cycling and swimming. The watch also automatically monitors the user's sleep.
