Guitar humidification can be a bit of a mystery, as it's very difficult to tell where the humidity in the cabinet goes at any given time. An osmosis-based humidifier absorbs moisture when the air in the cabinet is too humid and releases moisture when the air becomes dry. So you can forget about humidifying your instrument, as long as you remember to replace the humidification bags when they dry out. In really cold winters in Finland, the air dries out badly and the bags may need to be replaced more often.
